The 42nd edition of the Summer Courses has been presented in Bilbao. Gorka Moreno, vice-rector of the Bizkaia Campus of the UPV/EHU, Laura Poderoso, deputy director of the BBVA Foundation and Itziar Alkorta, academic director of the Summer Courses, have unveiled this year’s contents.
152 Summer Courses have been programmed for this edition. Most of the face-to-face courses will be held at the Palacio Miramar, the main venue in Donostia-San Sebastián, as well as in Bilbao and Vitoria-Gasteiz, although they will also be held in Navarre and New Aquitaine and there will be the possibility of participating live online.
The courses are aimed at everyone: academics, scientists, businessmen and women, professionals, government representatives and workers, social agents, different generations…, but this year we have programmed contents especially aimed at young people so that they can come and enjoy the Summer Courses. In this edition, based on the current challenges facing society, the Summer Courses will address a wide range of topics. They emphasised the fact that art and culture will be more present than ever in their programme.
