Kursaal and the Miramar Palace generate an economic impact of more than 55 million euros.

This morning, the Kursaal unveiled the summary of its activity in 2023, a year that stood out for its excellent level of activity, raising standards even higher and continuing its growth. The Kursaal Society, in charge of the management of the Miramar Palace since 2020, has had a significant economic impact on Gipuzkoa, generating a total of 55.4 million euros between both venues. The joint turnover, coming from the Kursaal and the Miramar Palace, reached 5 million euros, showing an increase of 4.2% compared to the previous year.

Likewise, a new consolidated cash surplus has been achieved, reaching 823,271 euros in terms of EBITDA, as a result of the excellent level of activity and income, as well as the efficient management of expenditure. This achievement has made it possible to finance both current expenditure and the total investment made in 2023, which amounted to 685,866 euros.

During the last year, the Miramar Palace has continued with a steady pace of activity, hosting 235 events with a total attendance of 24,870 people. In addition, it closed the year with a 6% increase in revenue compared to 2022 and once again achieved a cash surplus.

The congresses held last year included the 2D Materials Congress, the S-Snom Workshop and Organic Battery Days 2023, international events that attracted experts and professionals in nanotechnology, optics and renewable energies. As well as the 10th International Congress on Digital Health and the International Congress on Equality organised by Emakunde. Not forgetting the extensive programme of Summer Courses, which, out of a total of 133 courses given in the last edition in the territory, 95 have been developed in its headquarters at the Miramar Palace.
