The contents of some of the specific programmes of the 42nd edition of the UPV/EHU Summer Courses were presented this morning at the Miramar Palace.
Jokin Bildarratz, Basque Government Minister of Education, Koldo Telleria, Director of Irizar’s Personal Area, Agustín Erkizia, Vice-Rector of the Gipuzkoa Campus of the UPV/EHU and Itziar Alkorta, Academic Director of the Summer Courses, took part in the event.
This edition of the Summer Courses offers a range of courses aimed at a diverse public, especially young people, with the aim of awakening their interest in knowledge.
From the beginning of June until the end of September, this edition will be held with an interesting offer of 152 courses aimed at a very diverse public. Beyond the summer season, throughout the year we are permanently developing online courses, workshops, initiatives included in the Donostia Sustainability Forum and courses under the protection of UIK.
This 42nd edition will address nine key challenges: youth in the spotlight; human rights in the spotlight; the future of education and language; quality of life; culture and art; sustainability; social economy; digitalisation and artificial intelligence. Art and culture will also have a special place: among other topics, there will be a course by the dancers Igor Yebra and Lucía Lacarra and a monograph on the work of the writer Anjel Lertxundi.
